      Southern Region

Southern Region was one of the founding Regions of CPM, when the organisation was first formally established in 2001. An agreement was signed in 2005 making Southern Region a legally adopted Region of CPM under the terms of the Constitution.

Geographical Boundaries Geographically, the Southern Region comprises the counties of Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Regional Committee The Regional Committee was elected by the members of the Region in June 2005 and those elected were David Cheale, Janice Cheale, Chris Cox, Peter Henry, Pam Hunt, Jan Klein, Phil Monger and Marian Westlake. The Committee meets six times a year, to plan events and seek the Lord's will for the Region. Peter Henry became the Administrator, combining the two official positions of Treasurer and Secretary.

Regional Representatives The members residing in the Southern Region elected Phil Monger and Chris Cox to represent them on the National Executive Committee.

Meetings
Members from the Region meet together for teaching and fellowship four times a year at the Church Centre in Liphook, Hampshire. At these meetings a time of praying for one another is sometimes included before a 'bring your own lunch' is enjoyed, giving opportunity for fellowship. Regular prayer meetings also take place in locations around the Region, These times are dedicated to praying for CPM and the Regional events.

Prayer Ministry Courses Residential Prayer Ministry Courses are held at St Columba's House in Woking and occasional non-residential courses are conducted in local churches. Introductory days are also held locally at the invitation of local churches.

Training A number of members from the Southern Region have progressed through CPM Training Courses and have received their Accreditation. Accredited Prayer Ministers are engaged in conducting Prayer Ministry on the Regional Courses, in their Local Churches, or in their homes.
